Oil on Canvas. My Bubbe’s Green Striped Couch is an observational painting from my kitchen looking out to my living room. This painting details a transitional time in my life. When I created this painting, I was recently married and had just moved into my new home with my husband. All of our furniture was passed down to us from my recently deceased grandmother. I saw my Bubbe’s furniture fill my home and was struck with all of the changes taking place in my life. This painting is both a memorial to my loved ones I have lost and a nod to new starts in life.
