I am an artist living and working in Fairfield, CT. I am a painter by nature and work primarily in acrylic and watercolor, the latter being my go to, my trademark. In recent years my approach has evolved significantly and now often involves a multi-step process. It begins with sketching and painting but almost always involves layering.
No matter what medium I am working in there is always an element of experimentation. Whether that be of the actual materials, subjects, or colors. I love The exploration almost as much as the final results, sometimes even more. It is all part of a culmination, a journey to create a multifaceted piece.The moments leading up to the finalization of one of my works is a true dialogue with the subject and materials, the end result up in the air until the final brush stroke or lifting of the press.
For me, my work has always been my refuge.Forged through my own creation, it is private and particular. It takes me away from the noise of everyday life and is a true haven, one that I can never truly leave, nor would I want to.
