Martie Mackay is an photographic artist living and working in New Canaan, CT. The daughter of an engineer and a painter, Martie has always been fascinated by the way technology can assist in creating an expression of the artist's vision and interpretation.
A native of Pennsylvania, she spent most of her summers rambling around the countryside in Virginia at her grandparents’ home, Juniper Farm. Beautiful vistas and the wonders of the natural world defined those days, so it seemed appropriate to name her company Juniper Studio, where she creates fine art photography for home and commercial interiors. Her passion for color, digital collage and expression define her recent works.
Martie studied art history at the University of Virginia and has studied photography, encaustics and mixed media at The Silvermine School of Art. Her frequent travels have given her opportunities to learn from other professional photographers and to build an international clientele base. She is an artist member and a Board member of the New Canaan Society for the Arts.
