Roberta explores color and the emotions it creates. She works to recreate the invigoration you feel at the first pops of Spring color or the first autumn chill bringing leaves’ color changes.
Recent paintings are influenced by her feelings towards nature. It is a celebration of the magnificent colors in the world that inspires awe. She is interested in abstractions that conjure the sensation of a perfect moment, gazing at a shimmering landscape, seeing colors that could not possibly be real, but knowing they are.
Her goal is joy and wonder. She aims for the viewer to stop and look deeply, to notice something new or see something familiar a little differently, in order to perceive the world or ourselves in a new way.
