Artist StatementPerhaps it is the teacher within my soul that guides me on my journey of discovery with my camera. Being observant, reflective, creative, passionate, and joyful and always striving to reach new boundaries of vision are skills that guided my career as a teacher and now do so for me in this Renaissance of my life; this glorious time where I have been free to create meaningful moments is so many themes that keep evolving and growing. The magic of light, color, shape and place has no boundaries and when, like a child, we let ourselves go, there are infinite possibilities of expression.When I think about what is most important to me in creating images, I think of visualization, light and the idea that less is more. An image should have a story to tell, and I try to create mine in these ways.
